About Me

I am a clinical psychologist working with people of all ages. I specialize in helping children and adolescents who have faced difficult life circumstances, including complications associated with emergency medical events and pervasive medical diagnoses, as well as those who have experienced various types of abuse. I am a clinical psychologist working

My experience on adult, and child and adolescent psychiatric inpatient units allows me to be helpful in navigating mood disorders, dissociative episodes, psychogenic non-epileptic seizures, somatic symptoms, anger and aggression issues, and many other intense emotional experiences. My work on medical inpatient floors enables me to provide psychological treatment and support to those with a variety of medical conditions, including, but not limited to, eating disorders, traumatic brain injuries, cardiac and gastrointestinal problems, cancer, and genetic disorders. 

I also provide support to parents whose children are in the NICU, and work with parent’s one-on-one, or as couples, to discuss the stressors associated with perinatal and postpartum concerns. I am attentive to the different backgrounds, cultures, and religions of the people I work with, as well as issues of access to care, and the complications associated with being economically disadvantaged. 

I have mentored and provided psychological treatment to both undergraduate and graduate level students, as well as early career professionals, and have held leadership positions in national organizations. I work effectively in coordinating care with other professionals such as psychiatrists, family physicians, nurses, social workers, and teachers.
